‘Temple Rose’ derives its name from our founder’s surname, Temple, and rose, from the idiom, “English rose”.

The word rose actually has secondary meaning, as our Founder worked as a florist in the past. Working with nature and creating simultaneously, resulted in a love for the art of floral design.

Native English flowers hold special joy and meaning too, as she began honing floristry skills at a young age, taking part in local churches Flower Festivals. The classic English flowers such as roses, primroses and bluebells rate as all time favourites!

This is why the word rose was chosen in our brand name, to denote the love of all things floral and to reflect her English heritage and culture.

Brand origins

Temple Rose is a British-born brand, with its female founder originating from the small town of Stow-on-the-Wold, in the Cotswolds. The Cotswolds are a group of hills, (‘Wold’ is the Roman word for hill), located in the south-west of England, designated as an ‘Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty’. 

The picturesque landscapes of the rolling hills, combined with the honey coloured limestone cottages and nature reserves, were the inspiration behind the quiet luxury brand. The Temple Rose colour palette in soft hues are mirrored from local nature; both floral and & fauna. Our unique interior silk prints are a homage to the exquisite natural beauty of English gardens and countryside.
